Creative Practice
I am passionate about developing and sharing my skills with people in order to facilitate transformative healing and see creative practices have a huge role to play in this in my personal and professional life.
Performing arts have played a key role in my life since childhood and the thread of my creative practice runs through my life and work.
As a queer parent I am dedicated to education and a way of life that supports and nourishes people to live to their fullest, in their own unique way.
I embrace diversity, complexity, questioning and finding out what lies beneath.

I have performed with and assisted in the teaching studio with Taiko Journey since the company began in 2014. "The ability to relax and ground people so that they can listen not only to physical instruction but to themselves is a skill that Lumi brings from years both teaching and practising shiatsu. Lumi continues to offer a unique perspective on the wellness aspects of taiko which informs Taiko Journey’s ergonomic style." HJ founder of Taiko Journey
I have taught shiatsu at the Devon School of Shiatsu, the International Macrobiotic School and continue to deliver workshops in Totnes, with other organisations and at festivals.
Currently I am combining my passion for performance & self-expression with my healing practice through teaching Taiko drumming and developing Theatre of the Oppressed workshops.
